Who are we?

Arthur Pieman Conservation Area Management Committee - APCA is the advisory body charged with representing the community’s input into the management of the Arthur Pieman Conservation Area.

The Committee is the Communities voice to address issues, maintain native wildlife and fauna, provide safe and accessible tracks and cater to the many diverse ways in which people experience the area.

​The Committee was appointed by Minister Roger Jaensch and works closely with the Parks and Wildlife Service, who ably manage the area along with the local indigenous people.

The Committees underpinning values are of fairness, inclusiveness, non-discrimination with the aim to preserve this unique area at the same time balancing the recreational pursuits of various groups who visit and live in the area.

The Committee intends to use this website as an ongoing newsletter to inform interested parties of what matters are discussed and being considered at each meeting and invite informed comment and suggestions that are positive and will improve management of the area to ensure long term access by the community who live or just love enjoying the area are maintained.
